Joint Use of Firing Range
Permits Buckley AFB the use of APD firing range. The AF will pay APD a lump sum range fee for unlimited use of the range.
Safety Certification Training
Specialized collaborative training between AF and the local communities. AF provides training for community personnel, while the local communities offers specialized training to AF. The training opportunities may include wastewater certification, landfill-hazmat, OSHA, GeoBase and survey, commercial driver’s license, design-build, and all other supplementary trainings.
Hostage Rescue Training
Civilian capabilities in Special Response Teams, SWAT, and Hostage/Crisis Negotiations will be made available to Cannon AFB. Military working dogs and handlers will be available to civilian law enforcement agencies.
Aircraft Fire Training
Allows the local firefighter department to utilize Cannon’s facilities to conduct aircraft fire training on the base in December. This training is needed to allow the local fire department to continue servicing the local airport. Joint HAZMAT is the next training opportunity.
HAZMAT Joint Training
Enhances coordination with local emergency and hazmat professionals to improve joint preparedness and readiness. FC personnel will participate in a HAZMAT training class in the downtown area.
Foreign Language Education
Allows the University of Arizona Critical Languages Program to provide classes and tutoring to the 100 Airborne Cryptologic Language Analysts, with specific programs, courses and classes, and related fees to be agreed upon by the parties. Junior Manager/Office Exchange Program
The Junior Executive Exchange Program (JEEP) seeks to build community ties by creating an exchange program for Junior level managers and officers between the “host party” and the “participating parties”.
